KNICKERS CAME INTO BEING WHEN SARAH ANSWERED AN ADVERT SIMON LOVE HAD PLACED ON GUMTREE.COM THAT READ “FRENCH GIRL WANTED” (IT SOUNDED WEIRD THEN & IT SOUNDS WEIRD NOW).
HE SENT HER SOME OF HIS WONKY DEMO RECORDINGS (INFLUENCED BY SIXTIES POP, FRENCH YE-YE, MODERN GIRL GROUPS & OLD R & B) & SHE SANG ON TOP OF THEM. WHEN IT WAS REALIZED THAT THEY SOUNDED EXTREMELY GOOD (IN THEIR OPINION), SOME PROPER RECORDINGS WITH SOME OTHER PEOPLE (DANIEL, MARK & JONNY ON BASS, ORGAN & DRUMS RESPECTIVELY) WERE MADE & IN JANUARY 2012 THEY PLAYED THEIR 1ST LIVE SHOW.
